Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Switch will be at E3 2018, so concrete details on the game likely won’t come until then. However, that hasn’t stopped the rumor mill from turning, with the latest rumors stemming from a tweet made by supposed “industry insider” Marcus Sellars, who claims that the upcoming game will have a co-op story mode.
According to Sellars, Super Smash Bros. on Nintendo Switch will have a co-op story mode that supports up to two players. Unfortunately, Sellars didn’t clarify if this story mode would be similar to the Subspace Emissary seen in Super Smash Bros. Brawl or something completely different.
Like anything that Sellars posts on Twitter, fans should take this claim with a grain of salt. While Sellars does seem to be right some of the time, a number of his claims turn out to be false, and it’s possible his correct claims have just been lucky guesses or pulled from other sources. So until Nintendo itself reveals a co-op story mode for Super Smash Bros. on the Switch, no one should get their hopes up.
But i independently verified that info with my own sources. All the other other info he gave me I knew was fake. That's why I didn't post about it.
Hope that clears things up.

Besides claiming that Super Smash Bros. for the Switch will have a co-op story mode, Sellars also made some other claims about the game. For example, he said that the Ice Climbers will be returning after being absent from Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. The Ice Climbers were only cut from the series due to technical issues with the 3DS version, so it won’t be surprising at all if they do in fact make a comeback in Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Switch.
Whether or not Sellars is providing fans with accurate information remains to be seen. However, they should find out if his claims about Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Switch are true or not once E3 2018 rolls around in June.
Super Smash Bros. will launch in 2018, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
