Bethesda’s E3 2015 press conference was by and large dominated by one game in particular, Fallout 4. Everyone is raving about how epic Fallout 4 looked during the presentation, and gamers everywhere quickly marked their calendars to prepare for the Fallout 4 release date of November 10th, 2015.
With all the hubbub over Fallout 4, and to a lesser extent DOOM and Dishonored 2, one of the games showcased during Bethesda’s E3 2015 presentation has not been receiving nearly as much attention, and that game is BattleCry. Originally announced last year, BattleCry is a BattleCry‘s official website to sign up for the game’s upcoming worldwide beta.
Those that plan on signing up for the beta should also note that there are certain incentives for signing up before Thursday, June 18th. By signing up before the specified date, players will be granted priority beta access by the developers at BattleCry Studios, and furthermore, they will also receive a special in-game reward. What that reward is exactly was not divulged during Bethesda’s press conference.
A new faction for the game was also announced alongside the beta details, via BattleCry‘s latest trailer. This new faction, the Han Republic, are represented by their green color scheme and unique armor style. Their look is something that one might expect from a group with the name “Han Republic”, as they are clearly inspired by warriors from Chinese history.
BattleCry was just a small part of Bethesda’s E3 press conference, but it’s still an interesting title that most certainly has potential to win over fans of the genre. While most may be focused on Fallout 4‘s extensive customization options or the DOOM multiplayer trailer, BattleCry is still worth a look. In the coming months, expect Bethesda to announce a concrete start date for the game’s global beta, as well as information regarding the “special reward” that players will receive for signing up before June 18th.
In the meantime, more information about BattleCry can potentially come throughout E3 week as well. As laid out in Bethesda’s E3 week plans, BattleCry will be given a special focus on Wednesday, June 17th at 4:00pm PDT. Both design director Lucas Davis and executive producer Rich Vogel will be on hand to demo an extensive preview for the game at that time.
BattleCry will enter its global later this year, exclusively on PC.
