New Call of Duty Figures Coming from McFarlane Toys

Although the brand is typically associated with the first-person shooter genre, recent reports have indicated that Activision-Blizzard Studios is currently in talks with a potential director for the upcoming Call of Duty film, which is meant to be the beginning of a cinematic universe inspired by the franchise. Now, the property is set to receive even more ancillary products, as the model manufacturer McFarlane Toys has officially announced it will be releasing new figures from the series.

As seen in the images below, the first batch of highly realistic Call of Duty collectible figures will include fully articulated, fan favorite characters such as John “Soap” MacTavish and Simon “Ghost” Riley from the franchise’s Modern Warfare titles. There’s no doubt that many CoD fans will want these two pieces for their collection, and McFarlane Toys has already revealed that there will be even more iconic characters to release in a new wave at a later date.

For those unaware, these Call of Duty action figures are far from the first instance of McFarlane Toys foraying into the video game world, as the model manufacturer has had its hands in the creation of several fantastic-looking wares for other famous franchises in the past. For instance, the company created a lineup of Gears of War 4 figurines, as well as some for titles like Destiny, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and more.

Taking all of this into account, it will be interesting to see if a lot of Call of Duty fans lay down their hard-earned money for the “Ghost” and “Soap” figures when they hit major retailers in the fall of 2018. The collectibles from McFarlane Toys are set to be priced at $20 a piece, which might dissuade some who have already decided to start saving up their spare change for the potential Black Ops 4 that’s rumored to release this year.

The most recent entry in the Call of Duty franchise is Call of Duty: WW2, which is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
