Prepare for trouble, Pokemon GO players, and make it double. The game has added two new set of costumes based on the infamous Team Rocket, including Team Rainbow Rocket from Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon.
As you may recall, Team Rocket were the original antagonists of Pokemon, and now Pokemon GO players who want to feel a little nefarious can purchase full outfits honoring these classic villains.
Both versions of the outfit are available for male and female characters, but are a bit on the pricey side. Players can expect to spend up to 950 PokeCoins for one full set. If you’re going with individual pieces, the newsboy hat or the long, grey boots are good purchases. But, if all you want is that Team Rocket flair, the Rainbow version has more pizzaz.
As for what else is new in Pokemon GO, the game has recently introduced eight new raid bosses that have started appearing in raids worldwide. These additions are part of another wave of Generation 3 Pokemon, which have been slowly added to the game over the past several months. Among the Pokemon who will be challenging players are Snorunt, Dewgong, and Piloswine, to name a few. Additionally, the flying/dragon-type Rayquaza has replaced Kyogre as the new legendary raid boss currently in the game.
While many players are now familiar with the weather system recently introduce in Pokemon GO, and its ability to influence what Pokemon appear on the map, some might not know that the weather also has an effect on raids. If the conditions are right, the weather will provide a nice bonus to players who complete a raid, in the form of a more powerful captured Pokemon. For example, battling and capturing Lapras on a rainy day could result in a Pokemon with higher than regular CP. While it’s not a guaranteed bonus, it’s now worth taking note of the weather before jumping into a raid.
Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
