New Destiny 2 Crimson Days Details Leak

New Destiny 2 Crimson Days Details Leak

Today, the Bungie Community Manager known as “Cozmo23” officially revealed that Crimson Days will return in the video game developer’s second entry of its science fiction shooter series, Destiny 2. Prior to this announcement, a fresh datamine of the title’s PC version discovered new details in relation to the forthcoming holiday-themed event that seem to confirm it will focus primarily on cosmetic rewards and will mostly be connected to the Eververse Trading Company.

According to a post from the Redditor and Guardian known as “Ginsor,” Destiny 2‘s Crimson Days will immediately send players to the Eververse when the event starts, as fans will need to “follow the rose petals in the Tower to Tess Everis” in order to get a “free Crimson Days Engram.” When it comes to other potential loot from the event, though, extracted graphics from all of the game’s UI folders have pointed toward the items in the image below being available in some capacity.

The rest of the information in Destiny 2‘s Crimson Days datamine is mostly in regards to Lord Shaxx and his Crimson Doubles assignments, with there also being a tidbit about Tyra Karn’s penchant for the event. Not to mention, Ginsor’s post on the game’s subreddit asserts that Ghosts will track players kills in Crimson Days matches, which indicates the possibility of there being some kind of reward available at the end of the event for those who earn top marks.

Naturally, it’s important to take these leaks for Destiny 2‘s forthcoming content with a grain of salt, but they do seem plausible. And while most, if not all of the aforementioned assets will likely make an appearance during Crimson Days in some shape or form, what’s still completely unclear at this point in time is if Destiny 2‘s Crimson Days will operate differently from events like The Dawning. Bungie has already said that the Valentine’s-styled event “won’t be the same as last time,” but we will have to wait for the game’s first official blog post in 2018 to find out how–or if–the developer intends to show they’re truly listening to fan feedback when it comes to Eververse.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
